When the batteries are in a pyramid, it's probably Drywood termites. What do we see that their feces different colors depending on the wood they eat may have. You will not see real insect, and hide in the woods. The good news is Drywood termites do not have a lot of damage quickly. That said, you need professional help for treatment. You can not even sell a house with an active infestation of termites in most states. Good luck.
